GAUGE
A gauge was not obtained as an elastic band was used to create a one-size-fits-most design.
STITCHES
SINGLE CROCHET (sc) Insert your hook, yarn over (yo), and pull up a loop, yo pull through two loops.
SINGLE CROCHET BACK LOOP ONLY (sc, blo) Insert your hook, back loop only of the stitch, yarn over (yo), and pull up a loop, yo pull through two loops.
DOUBLE CROCHET BACK LOOP ONLY (dc blo)– yo, insert your hook back loop only of the stitch, yarn over (yo), and pull up a loop, yo, pull through two loops, yo, pull through the last two loops.
DOUBLE CROCHET (dc)– yo, insert your hook, yo and pull up a loop, yo, pull through two loops, yo, pull through the last two loops.
HALF DOUBLE CROCHET (hdc)– yo, insert your hook, yo and pull up a loop, yo, pull through both loops.

Convertible Crochet Mittens
CUFF (MAKE 2)
NOTE: Ch 2 counts as a sc
Ch 8
R1: sc 2nd st from hook, sc each st across; ch 2; tw. [7]
R2: sc blo ea. st across; ch 2; tw. [7]
R3-R23: Repeat Row 2 until R23
R24: sc blo ea. st across; ch 2; tw. [7]; finish off leaving a tail approx. 12” long.
Note: Cuff measures approx. 7” inches in length. If you need to adjust the cuff you can create more rows.
Fold the cuff in half. Sew along the raw edge of the cuff, using 12: tail and yarn needle to create a circle.
Rnd 25: Reattach Yarn; ch 1 (place stitch marker); sc 24 sts along side of cuff; sl st to join rnd.
FINGERLESS GLOVES (MAKE 2)
Note: The ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
Rnd 1- ch 1; place dc in ch 1 sp, dc each st around; sl st to join rnd; ch 1. [24]

CONTINUE FINGERLESS GLOVES

Optional -Add Elastic Cord- Measure 10”, attach to wrist opening.
Rnd 12: Holding elastic cord down; sc over the elastic cord, ea st around; sl st to join rnd. [24]
Note: If you opt not to add the elastic, complete Rnd 12 without using elastic, sc each stitch around; sl st to join rnd.
Fasten off; weave in the tail end.
THUMB (FOR BOTH MITTENS)
NOTE: The thumb(s) is created in a spiral. There is no need to join the round or ch 1.
Optional – Use a 5.0 mm, Crochet Hook
Reattach the yarn to any stitch in the thumb space opening.
sc around thumb opening [12]; continue sc in each st, in a spiral until you reach approx. 2” in length.
Cut yarn leaving a 12” tail. Using yarn needle and tail. Sew along the top edge of the Thumb to close.
Fasten off; weave in the tail.

MITTEN TOP (MAKE 2)
Magic Circle, Ch 3, (this ch 3 will count as the first dc), place 11 dc into Magic Circle; sl st to join rnd; ch 3. [12]
INCREASE ROUND(S)
Rnd 2: 1 dc in the same stitch, as the ch 3; 2 dc in each st around (place 2dc into each st); sl st to join rnd; ch 1. [24]
Rnd 3: 1 dc in same st as the ch 1; 1dc in next st; 2dc in next st; *1dc, 1dc, 2dc, repeat from *; sl st to join rnd; ch 1. [36]
Note: The ch 1 does not count as a st.
PATTERN CHANGE
Rnd 4- Rnd 5: Hdc each st around, sl st to join; ch 1. [36]
DECREASE ROUND
Rnd 6: (Decrease by 8 sts) hdc, hdc, hdc, sk st, *hdc hdc, hdc; sk st; Repeat from *; sl st to join rnd; ch 1. [24]
Rnd 7- Rnd 10: hdc each st around, sl st to join rnd; ch 1. [24]
PATTERN CHANGE
Optional -Add Elastic Cord- Measure 10”, attach to wrist opening.
Rnd 11: Holding elastic cord down; sc over the elastic cord, ea st around; sl st to join rnd. [24]
Note: If you opt not to add the elastic, complete Rnd 11 without using elastic, sc each stitch around. [24]
ASSEMBLE:
Determine the left and right fingerless gloves. Align the bottom of the mitten top with the top of the fingerless glove (measure 1” from the top). Using yarn and yarn needle attach the bottom of the mitten, 1” down from the top of the gloves.
Note: Ensure the mitten top is attached to the back of the glove and folds over the fingerless glove.
Finish off by securing and weaving in ends.
