I opted to use this premium acrylic yarn with flecks of tweed from WeCrochet when creating the Sandstone Sleeveless Cardigan. Not only is this yarn priced right, but it is also a great value because of its versatility. However, all is fair in love and yarn. While Brava Tweed from WeCrochet is a great choice, pick up any 4-weight yarn that you love, and let’s get started.

Finished Measurement
Finished Size:
– Finished product is sized US Women M/Large (Slightly oversized Medium)
– Length: Approximately 33”
The Sandstone Sleeveless Cardigan was created for a person that is 5’5” with a Med/Large body size, 36” chest. Thus, these instructions have been written for a Medium/Large.
This project can be customized to fit all sizes.
TO ADJUST SIZE:
Measure from shoulder to shoulder to determine the width. (See Chart Below, #4). Create a foundation chain the width of your shoulder-to-shoulder measurement, adding 1 more inch for ease. Make sure the foundation chain ends with an odd number of stitches in the chain.
Example: If you created a chain of 72 stitches, round up to 73 stitches; in order to start the foundation chain with an odd number.
The front panels should be half the size of the back panel.
Example- If the back panel measures 22 inches across, then the front panels’ foundation chain will need to be 11 inches (for both the right and the left front panel).
Work for the panels following the pattern below. Keep in mind, that your stitch count will vary from the pattern, and the size is adjusted.
The length of the sleeveless cardigan is adjusted by adding or subtracting rows.

Optional- Use stitch markers to temporarily secure the garment together.
Using Color A yarn and a yarn needle, sew along the raw edge of the shoulder area leaving 6” for the neck area (this is approx. 18 stitches in from the outer edge of the panel on both sides).
Start along the bottom of the Sleeveless Cardigan, and sew along the raw edge towards the shoulders. Leaving space for arms (approx. 8.5”). This measurement will vary if creating a different size.
